Oh my, how time does fly, its suddenly 2011 & February to boot!
An interesting year it shall be for Jinjerup & myself as some changes are going to happen :) I would love to share them but everything is still under wraps so I shall have to keep mum about it for now. Thank you for being with us on our journey so far & my apologies for the lack of posts again, but Jinjerup shall prevail!! Plenty of cuteness coming right up :D

hello, hello!

Gosh, its feels like ages since my last post :) 3 and a half months!
My apologies, dearies for this long extended hiatus. Thank you again for your lovely messages and emails of support & feedback!!!

Here's a quick update:
I'd and 've been preoccupied with the following:
a) freelance projects
b) work-work (my day time job)
c) bad hand condition [ i've been nursing a sore hand for 6months now, i can't even pick up a pencil without feeling this constant pain in my wrist and palm! It truly is a painful reminder to not overdo it anymore. hands are for life :( ]
d) Jinjerup (something's coming up in early 2011, keep a watch out for it! ;)

Oh well, live and let learn. I would so love to take up blogging again very soon. I'll have to pace myself so it's going to take awhile :) but we'll get there!

hiatus

:) Hello my dearies, here's a short note about my absence in the coming 2 weeks! I shall be away from Jinjerup for a little while, finishing up on some ongoing projects plus figuring out how my new ones take shape.

Its an exciting time for me, learning how to handle and cope with multiple projects at once. No worries though, I'll be back soon enough, just in time for Father's Day!

Handfuls!

Hullo, hullo dearies,
here's a little update on what I've been up to and why there's not been as many posts to date :P I'm working on something a little new at the moment plus I've been trying my hand at taking on some extra freelance jobs whilst keeping my full time day design job and handling Jinjerup too!

It certainly is such a (or 3!) handful (s), I'm getting a little burnt out at the mo, but not to worry, once I've handled the bulk of the new jobs and have released the new something something, then it'll be all good! Just need to get over these bunch of teething hurdles first. Its always harder to start something totally new! :P

Mother's Day theme is coming right up! Watch out for the Jinjerup freebies, they're going to be so CUTE! :D

Was it a double, now make it a triple!

Gosh, what an interesting start of the year I'm having! Remember, the dengue + malaria I had come down with about 2 weeks ago? Well, guess what! I now have my left foot in a cast!! BIG SIGH* & its going to stay there for the next 3 weeks.

Being the clumsy person I am, I missed the last step of a flight of stairs, landed on my foot, heard a crunching sound before I realised I might have broken something wince* So yes, my lack of posts for this week is due to my second round of hospitalization this year :( Doc says I have torn most of the ligaments in my left foot and have a possible fracture.

Oh well, to look on the bright side of things, I'm now at home, I shall be getting more rest than I bargained for and shall be getting a chance to build up some upper body strength, tone 'em arms (I hardly exercise :P due to work) as I'm still adjusting to the crutches I have to use. My arms, thighs & back are killing me!! Does anyone have any tips for making it easier to go up and down a couple of flights of stairs with crutches? :)

Double dose!

Hi everyone, Lynn here! Thank you very very much for all your well wishes & messages!! I'm back & slowly recovering, remember Munchee's previous post on my medical condition?

Rrrr... I did have to get admitted into a hospital and I've just been discharged a couple of days ago. It was a horrifying experience for me, as mentioned before I hate needles, being hospitalized and I can't stand withdrawing blood. Oh, the poor nurses! I highly doubt they've seen anyone get so hysterical at the sight of a syringe. But, after that all, nothing beats having a succession of rising high fevers (my highest point was 40.5 °C) & cold-to-the-bone chills for 10 days!

The reason or rather reasons for my troubles are a combination of dengue fever & malaria, 2 tropical diseases with terrifying conditions. Frankly, I've not fully recovered from my malaria yet as I still get onsets of fever & dizzy spells, but with my quinine tablets, surely they will go away :)

On to happier things, I shall be back to blogging Jinjerup's momentum real soon, just need a couple more days to recuperate plus I've got some super sweet newbies coming right up, these you won't want to miss! ;)

Of sickness & health

Munchees here & Lynn has requested that I put out this message for her:

Sorry folks, I have come down with a severe bout of on-off high fever with aches & chills and shall need some time to recover from my sickness. What a way to celebrate my birthday as I had contracted it then, my doctor says it could be dengue fever :( sigh*

Shall have to wait this out a bit more & hopefully I shall get much better sooner. I do not want to take any blood tests SOB* or be in any hospital as I'm terrified of both! Wish me luck dearies!

Thank you 2009, hello 2010!

The end of 2009, amazing isn't it? Am still a little shocked that the year's ending in about a couple of hours, it feels like we're still in the first quarter of 2009 lols* but then again grin* I'll probably be saying this too at the end of 2010 :P Honestly, its been a truly amazing & interesting year for me & for Jinjerup!

Why? The reason's because I've finally taken up the courage to bring Jinjerup into its 2nd year & opening up an etsy shop in that process! I used to think I would not have the time to do anything apart from my work at work, but bit by bit, I've proven myself wrong because I sincerely believe if there's a will, there's a way (even if it means sleeping 5 hours a night, at times, trying to juggle both my passion for Jinjerup & work and family, friends & love! phew!)

:P Yes, I do struggle most of the times trying to strike the balance between them all but still living your dream (I look forward to being able to be a full time artist & do what I love) some day is what can really drive you! Thank you to my dearest family & friends who are always there for me no matter come what may (you know who you are!)

& of course, most of all, I would like to thank everyone who visits Jinjerup, who take the time to actually follow what's new on Jinjerup's site, who have written in with lovely encouraging emails, who have left feedback & comments, who tweets & retweets, who have featured Jinjerup in their fab blogs or websites, who has helped support & bought Jinjerup products!

I thank you all so very much from the bottom of my heart, you guys totally overwhelm with your kindness & encouragement! :D Hugs & kisses all around!

Whoopee!!! Hi everyone, I'm back! :D
I'm going to be posting a selection of pics from my long trip to my personal blog,
but that's going to take a little while as there's going to be quite a lot of sifting to do
and there are way too many to choose from! :p

I've just escorted Munchees, my dear assistant, into a room full
of sugary sweet golden bananas! (You should've seen his ear splitting grin!)
A wonderful barter for his help. chuckle* (The sounds of frantic gobbling and soft thumping of banana peels on the floor are growing louder! )
