Candycanes

Hello, hello dearies!! Yes its been awhile but we're picking up the pace as best as we can!
We've got out first Christmas pattern up and its called Candycane.

A yummy combo of colorful candy canes with snowflakes! I initially started working on the grey one but then realised it would be really nice with either a pink or blue background too. (but I still like the grey one! Any faves anyone?)

Floweraid

Here's Jinjerup's last Mother's Day themed pattern for this year, introducing Floweraid. I'm not exactly sure why I chose the title Floweraid but it seemed kinda suitable :P I was trying out combinations of checkers and flowers when I came out with this new trio, a different take on flower patterns than the existing ones of Jinjerup's style. Hm..

Next month, Jinjerup shall be having 2 themes, the first being Father's Day and we're still trying to decide on the second! If you guys have any suggestions, we shall be more than happy to consider them! :D

Tea cup owls

I really love this next batch of patterns, the colors so tug at my heart strings :)
I had a fun time mixing and matching them!

Plus the funny thing is I keep saying TOWLs instead of tea owls, so I've decided to go with tea cup owls instead! :P The tiny darlings look so cosy in their little cups, quite adorable,
yes? chuckle* I love me towls, especially the pink sherbet one at the bottom.

Any faves, anyone?

Recycle chic

Greeting citizens of this planet, Happy Earth Day!! :D Thank you very much for your feedback, am super glad you guys like the Recycling labels we shared on Tuesday! I am sure you guys shall put them to good use. Let's put in a little more effort to help save this great planet we call home :)

Well, onward march, next up, we have this new trio of patterns called Recycle Chic, using the recycling logo as a repeat motif. These patterns come from a slightly different design approach, than my previous range, being more subtle in color and message. Think these would look quite nice on printed on totes or recyclable non-woven bags!

Recycling is fab!

:) I've had this pattern in my head for a few days now, just had to put it to print! I don't practise as much recycling as I would like to but I'm making it a point to start doing more now, better late than never, yes? I'm liking neons, today oh yes yes yes ;)

Feeling a burnt out these few days, so much work from work, I hardly have a moment to myself. Perhaps that's why I'm attracted to the neon palette this time around? lols* Sub-consciously, I needed a fresh batch of colors? Think I've been working with way too much reds & blues & greys (@work.. urghh..Corporate colors all look the same) Oh well.. am off to bed now. Am too drained for anything else, nighty night folks!

Here's a new bunny-inspired pattern with a plaid background, I couldn't really think of a fitting name in time so have decided to call it bunny plaid :P How original! chuckle* I'll spend more time thinking of better pattern names with Jinjerup's next month's theme!! Cookies galore!

Let's say you were a snacks manufacturer having a competition where the grand prize is a lifetime's supply of your fave cookies or fave chocs, frankly, if I was the winner, I'd pick the cookies anytime! I love cookies of all shapes and colors :P (well, provided they are tasty to eat of course!

I've illustrated some of my fave cookie snacks: linzer hearts, chocolate chip cookies and I-don't-their-name-rectangle cookies but are great for dipping in coffee (I nicknamed them polka for their dots) :D

Do you guys have any fave cookies or snacks too?

Liquorice all sorts

As requested by Trix, here's a Jinjerup take on liquorice all sorts.
:P Even though, I'm not a big fan of how liquorice tastes, I do love how they look. Their colors and shapes are oddly fascinating! Now, I wonder who designed them as such?

The first two designs are based on the existing original and fruit flavours, whilst for the third, I've added in how chocolate might look like in the all sorts style :)

I'm rather curious about the fruit all sorts, as I've never seen them before I googled up on these all sorts! Has anyone ever tried them? Are they nice? Do they taste purely fruity or do they have a liquorice taste as well? :P Oh please do share!

Biscuit rolls

Lovely to snack on, biscuit rolls are such a hit! grin* I usually grab a handful (or 2) to munch, and a handful is about 5-6 rolls :P they are that addictive. Biscuit rolls look like thick straws made of biscuits (complete with stripes).

Most of the time, the rolls are filled with a strip of flavored creamy icing, these flavored rolls come with colored stripes which are the same color of the icing inside. For instance, strawberry flavored rolls get pink stripes whilst chocolate ones get brown stripes. & sometimes, they come plain, these types of rolls are usually fatter in diameter. You should try using the plain ones as straws :P they go really well with coffee!

chuckle* If let's say the biscuit rolls get left out of their containers for a little too long, they tend to go really soft, with no more crunch in them. It was actually my fave moment when I was a kid, cause when the biscuit rolls got soft, you could unroll them! lols* Then you'd have an unrolled striped biscuit sheet, all the better to get to the icing inside! :P

I've found Martha Stewart recipe on them too :P
You can find it at the bottom of this post ;)

Iced gems

Oh cute little biscuits of my childhood, you are sorely missed! :P
Iced gems were so next on Jinjerup's Snacks & Treats theme list, for you guys who aren't familiar with what they are, I'll try my best to give you a description of what these precious yummies are.

They're actually little round biscuits with cute dollops of hardened icing on top, and they come in 4 colors of icing. The ones found where I am are usually pink, white, yellow & green. Wonder why they didn't make more colors plus I wonder who got to choose those colors, why pink, yellow, white & green? :P Well, from what I've just read, the updated color palette of these iced gems are white, yellow, orange, red and purple.

Sugary goodness in every little munch, I used to bite off all the icing, keeping them aside to nibble after finishing off the round biscuit base! :P From what I recall, I got really hyper from all that sugar! grin* If you guys have never tried them, you should, they are very adorable!

If you had the chance to pick 4 colors for your customized batch of iced gems, what colors would you choose? :)
